We also invent different molecular toolkits and optimize microalga from various aspects to make them a better microbial cell factory.
School of Forestry Hou Zehai houzehai@bjfu.edu.cn Focuses on the evolutionary mechanisms underlying forest pest reproductive behavior. Specifically, I focus on how ecological and social factors drive the evolution of male signaling traits, female mating preferences, and intersexual interactions. Using the insect vector of the pine wood nematode as a model system, our lab integrates behavioral ecology and evolutionary biology to study the evolution of mating behavior and secondary sexual traits in natural populations. We aim to unravel how natural and sexual selection collectively shape the species' behavior, life history, and morphology.
